User Activity

The Administration Center provides useful functions to help manage the usage status and security of organizations and products. This section describes basic operations related to activities. Activity provides easy-to-understand visualizations of how your Atlassian Cloud accounts, projects and spaces are being used. By suspending unused accounts, you can reduce security risks and costs.

Organization domain authentication is required to use User Activity. Learn more about Verify a domain to manage accounts.

Show User Activity screen

The Activity screen is available to Atlassian site administrators.

  1. Select “User Activity” on the Home screen.

Register your organization's API key

User Activity require an organization administrator to create and set an API key for the organization. Click the "Organization API Key" button on the product data statistics screen to register your organization's API key. For details on registering an API key, please refer to Register your organization's API key.

Specify conditions for activities to be displayed

The activity displayed in "Active user trends", "Active user percentage", and "Product data statistics" below can be filtered by period, target site, and target products.

  1. You can select the period from “This month”, “Last 3 months”, “Last 6 months”, “Last 9 months”, “Last 1 year”, or “Last 2 years”. For example, if you select "Last 3 months" on March 5th, data from January 1st to March 5th will be displayed. The data does not cover the period from December 5th to March 5th.

  2. Target site can be selected from sites owned by organizations registered with Register your organization's API key.

Active user trends

For each product, you'll see the number of active users accessing the time range over time. You can switch to full screen display with the icon in the upper right of the panel, and switch to line graph display with the icon. Activity is updated in each product when the user performs the following operations.

Jira Software/Jira Service Management/Jira Work Management

  • Create issues, edit, transition, add comments, view issues/boards/backlogs/dashboards, etc.

Confluence

  • Create pages, edit pages, add comments, view pages, etc.

 

User limit line setting

You can set the upper limit line of the number of users for each product on the Active user trends and Active user percentage graphs.

Check the trends in active users (unique users across sites) aggregated in the Enterprise plan view

If you are on the Enterprise plan, you can enable the toggle to see trends in active users (unique users across sites) aggregated according to the Enterprise plan's user hierarchy. For more information about user tiers, see How does Atlassian Access billing work for Enterprise?
